Jonathan Sas has been a Project Director at Atkinson since February 2022. He is responsible for a portfolio of research projects that support the foundation’s strategy development and knowledge mobilization activities. Prior to taking on this assignment, Jonathan worked in senior roles in the labour movement and provincial government in British Columbia. He has also worked variously as a journalist and editor, and policy and research director in Ontario with a particular focus on inequality and social policy. On behalf of Atkinson and the Broadbent Institute in 2015, he authored a paper on public investment in innovation based on the work of U.K. economist Mariana Mazzucato. Jonathan is an Honourary Witness to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
