Armine Yalnizyan, the Atkinson Fellow on the Future of Workers, has been appointed to a federal government Task Force for Women in the Economy.

The COVID-19 pandemic and economic crisis has had a disproportionate impact on women – as workers in the sectors most affected by shut downs and caregivers for children and the elderly as services have been cut or closed. The task force will “advise the government on a feminist, intersectional action plan that addresses issues of gender equality in the wake of the pandemic.”
