The Migrant Rights Network and Migrant Workers Alliance for Change is leading an action to guarantee income for all.

The recently announced Canadian Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) will give $2000 per month to workers who have lost their jobs or income due to COVID-19.  While the program is open to residents, workers will need to provide a Social Insurance Number (SIN). This will exclude workers who are undocumented, those transitioning from one kind of permit to another, and those who recently arrived and have not yet received their SIN.
