COVID-19 has further exposed long-standing inequities of poverty and racism in neighbourhoods across Toronto. Black, Indigenous, and people of colour and low income people are more likely to contract the virus, live in neighbourhoods with higher rates of COVID-19, and have less access to testing.  But they’re also organizing for better.

The Decent Work and Health Network and Jane & Finch Action Against Poverty came together on October 21 to strategize on how to demand better jobs and workplace protections as a matter of racial justice and public health.
