Rethinking Executive Compensation

At a time when public corporations are holding their annual general meetings at this time of year, Kevin Thomas, the CEO of the Shareholder Association for Research and Education (SHARE), wrote this op-ed for The Globe and Mail. As businesses wrestle with layoffs, salary cutbacks, and general financial uncertainty due to COVID-19, he calls for a halt to big bonuses for executives and reconsideration of how they are compensated.
