Toronto Star columnist Shree Paradkhar has won two Amnesty International Canada Media Awards for her 2018-2019 Atkinson Fellowship in Public Policy series called Education Without Oppression.

The ninth piece in her series, These Girls Were Powerless, Living On The Edge Of Society, But One School Is Turning Them Into Heroes, Feminists, And Resisters, won in the category of Long-Form Text.  It showcased Prerna Girls School in Lucknow, India which centres feminist pedagogy and drama in teaching.
