Community Benefits for an Inclusive Recovery

The federal government is planning to invest over $187 billion in infrastructure projects across Canada in the next 10 years. Twenty-nine organizations have come together in a campaign for an  Inclusive Recovery  that calls on the government to leverage Community Benefits Agreements as a part of these projects. This means the money could do ‘double duty’ by creating local job and business opportunities for Black and Indigenous peoples, women, persons with disabilities, veterans, youth and newcomers.

You can show your support, by endorsing their letter to federal cabinet ministers here. The Atkinson Foundation is a signatory, along with our partners including the Toronto Community Benefits Network, Windsor/Essex Community Benefits Coalition, Toronto Environmental Alliance, Ontario Nonprofit Network, and CCEDNet.
