Irene Gentle is the Vice President of Inclusion and Strategic Partnerships at Torstar.  From 2018 – 2021, she was the Editor in Chief of the Toronto Star, the first woman to hold this position in the history of the newspaper. In her ten years at the Star, Irene also served as Managing Editor, City Editor and Business Editor. Previously Irene worked at the the Hamilton Spectator for six years in a variety of editorial roles.
