Mark Sevestre is Haudenosaunee Mohawk and resides in the Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation Territory in Ontario. Mark joined Mokwateh as a Senior Advisor in September of 2024, bringing his 25 years of experience in Indigenous Investment and Trust management. He continues serving as the General Manager of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation Community Trust and as a Financial Trustee for the Louis Bernard Legacy Trust for the Madawaska Maliseet First Nation.
In 2006, Mark was one of three founding members of the National Aboriginal Trust Officers Association (NATOA). He helped to create and lead the Reconciliation and Responsible Investment Initiative in partnership with NATOA and SHARE. Mark serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Tallgrass Institute (formerly known as First Peoples Worldwide) at the University of Colorado at Boulder, as well as on the Mount Allison University Board of Regents.
